    Overview

v  The hospital started as civil hospital in early 2005.

v   It Started providing basic health care facilities to the populace of areas.

v  Keeping in view the dire needs of a secondary health care facility, the Chief Minister GB proposed a development scheme namely 400 bedded Shaheed Saif-Ur-Rehman Hospital Gilgit which is under process.

v  The  Hospital was up-graded and completed from 30 to 50 bed at a cost of 97.280 million with the following additional facilities:-

              1. Surgical / emergency Block and private Rooms.

              2. Main OT Complex.

              3. ICU and child ward.

v  Later on the scheme 2ndly revised @ cost of 120.624 million in March 2015 to include the missing facilities to give a complete structure to the hospital detailed as under:-

              1 Const of walk ways connecting bridge old and new block.

              2. Tuff pavers on open area of hospital.

Provision of missing facilities for Govt. City Hospital and Shaheed Saif Ur Rehman Hospital Gilgit is approve
